Our organization was founded by an educator. We are volunteers from diverse settings who have intense desires or enthusiasm in helping people, especially in carrying out our mission.

We were formed in 2000 as a non-profit corporation in Washington State by Mike Easterly. We received a 501(c)3 advanced ruling from the IRS in 2001 and a continued exemption from federal income tax in 2005. We expanded our operations to include Kentucky with a Certificate of Authorization issued by the Commonwealth in February, 2009, and Indiana with a Certification of Authorization issued by the State in August, 2009.

Only Theresa's Fund is reserved for residents of north central and northeastern Washington, rural Kentucky and southern Indiana. Products and services from the Owl Store, The Green Acre Project, and Time to Teach® are available throughout the United States and Canada and selective countries worldwide.
